The 6-days Ayahuasca Ceremony is based on a minimum of 2 people. If you are traveling alone please contact us to provide a quote according to what you want.

The food during the ceremonies of Ayahuasca is governed by a special diet determined by the shaman. If you have any food allergies, please specify when you make your reservation to provide a menu according to your needs. The shamanic diet is a light diet, low in sugar, without salt and only allows fish and eggs inside animal proteins. Fruits and vegetables have no restriction.

Those interested in this ancestral medical practice must follow a two-day (48 hours) preparation diet before the Ayahuasca ceremony. The diet consists of not eating pork, not consuming alcohol or drugs, not having sex. You can usually eat other types of foods such as fruits, vegetables, salads, etc.

We will leave in the morning from the airport or from your accommodation in a private vehicle in the direction of Bellavista Nanay port. During the journey, our guide will make a brief historical review of the city of Iquitos and about the activities to be developed during the day.

Once at the port of Bellavista Nanay, you can appreciate its market where merchants from nearby communities sell their products. Then we will sail in a typical boat (pamacari) for 10 minutes until we reach the confluence of the Nanay and Amazonas rivers, where we can appreciate the difference of color of both rivers, black water of the Nanay River and brown or white water of the Amazon River.

We will continue our journey downstream for 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach the lodge where we will stay and perform the ceremonies of Ayahuasca. During the trip you will be able to enjoy the beautiful landscape and you will have the possibility to see the gray (Sotalia fluviatilis) and pink river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis)), diversity of birds such as the Yellow billed Tern (Sternula superciliaris), Olivaceous cormorant (Phalacrocorax olivaceus), Great egret (Ardea alba), Snowy egret (Egretta thula) and Ring kingfisher (Megaceryle torquata) among many others, plus some rural towns and villages on the banks of the river.

Already in the hostel, you can leave your belongings and get comfortable, while we prepare to have a meeting with the shaman, who will give us a talk on how to prepare during the day for the Ayahuasca ceremony. Here you will also have the space to solve all your doubts.

After the talk we will prepare for lunch. We will be following a special diet designed by the shaman, which aims to prepare the body to receive the Ayahuasca optimally.
