A delicious lunch, typical of the Amazon jungle, will be waiting for us at our camp, accompanied by fruits and natural juices.
We will make an excursion in search of the river dolphins and we will explore the area in search of primates. If you like, you can swim in the Yanayacu River, then contemplate the sunset. Our day will begin with an early start with an expedition aboard our boat sailing along the Yanayacu River in search of the sloths (Bradypus tridactylus), black capped squirrel monkey (Saimiri boliviensis) and saddle back tamarin (Saguinus fuscicollis). We will take advantage of high bird activity during sunrise to go birdwatching, where we will also take time to listen and enjoy their beautiful songs.
We will enjoy our delicious and energizing tropical breakfast accompanied by fruits on board of our boat.
Then, we will take a walk in the virgin forest, to submerge ourselves in the "kingdom of the giant trees" and to take an ethnobotanical walk. We will have the pleasure of seeing and appreciating the Ceiba (Ceiba pentandra), the largest tree in the Amazon rainforest that can exceed 50 meters in height. Also, doing recognition of medicinal plants, timber trees and their main characteristics; specific associations that occur between plants, trees and animals, parasitic plants, epiphytes and vines. We will learn how to cut and drink from the "water liana", a vine that can be used as a survival technique. Remember to be very attentive during the walk, paying close attention to our surroundings, especially to the canopy of the forest, trying to identify sloths and species of monkeys that will find themselves feeding and carrying out their daily activities in their natural habitat. You can also see varieties of birds, insects, arachnids, reptiles and amphibians. If we are lucky we can see different species of boas, including the anaconda or the Amazonian jaguar when it comes to drink water on the shores of the lagoons.
